Childhood: Value and duties

چکیده

In philosophy, there are two competitor views about the nature and value of childhood: The first is traditional, deficiency, view, according to which children mere unfinished adults. second a view that has recently become increasingly popular amongst philosophers, children, perhaps in virtue their biological features, have special valuable capacities, and, more generally, privileged access some sources value. This article provides conceptual map these possible interpretations, notes bearing on issues population ethics duties we owed during childhood.
